[ACLU-CU ALERT] Reminder: ACLU Brunch on Sunday!

[Champaign County ACLU Announcements]

The 2011 annual meeting of the Champaign County ACLU is this coming Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Milo's Restaurant. Registration will begin at 11:00 am, followed by brunch at 11:30. Tickets are $25, or $15 for students or those with limited income. There will be a brief business meeting and presentation of awards. Reserve your spot now:

The guest speaker will be former Iowa Chief Justice Marsha Ternus. Justice Ternus was one of three Iowa Supreme Court justices not retained by voters following the court's controversial decision legalizing same-sex marriage in Iowa.

Hiram Paley will receive the Victor J. Stone award for lifetime achievement in supporting civil rights and civil liberties.
