[ACLU-CU ALERT] JOIN US on the 4th of JULY

[Champaign County ACLU Announcements]

Dear Champaign County ACLU,

The ACLU will once again be marching in the JULY 4th Parade! The parade
begins near First and Kirby at 11:05 a.m. and continues east on Kirby and
north on Lincoln to California. Please join us as a marcher anywhere along
the route or cheer us on along the sidelines!

This year the ACLU will be joined by a group of Mandela Washington Fellows,
young leaders from Africa spending six weeks in the US on a fellowship
program begun by President Obama as part of his Young African Leaders'
Initiative.

After the parade, the Mandela Washington Fellows will join us for a
discussion of the ACLU's role as a non-governmental defender of civil
liberties. This conversation, with light refreshments, will take place at
the home of Carol Leff.
