[ACLU-CU ALERT] Nov 30: Racial Disparities in the County Jail & Criminal Justice System as a Whole

The Champaign County chapters of American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), NAACP, and National Council of African American Men, will sponsor a community forum at which members of the Champaign County Racial Justice Task Force will discuss the task force's final report and 31 recommendations for eliminating racial disparities in the county jail and in the criminal justice system as a whole.


Thursday, November 30

6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Champaign Public Library

200 W. Green Street, Champaign


The forum is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.  Public response to the recommendations is encouraged.

The Champaign County Racial Justice Task Force is comprised of volunteers from the community who were appointed by the Champaign County Board in January 2016.
