The Illinois Department of Transportation furnishes yearly summary reports for all jurisdictions and the more detailed data is available for further analysis. The Urbana Task Force, chaired by Peter Resnick, approached the issue methodically from various perspectives, not only doing a thorough re-evaluation of the detailed statistics over a 10-year period, but also considered community impact and police procedures.
