[Champaign County ACLU Announcements]

Dear ACLU supporters,



Among the many issues exposed by the coronavirus pandemic is the
devastating impact created by the lack of paid sick leave for many workers.
The absence of paid sick leave often falls disproportionately on the
constituencies at the center of our work, including women and people of
color. For this reason, the ACLU of Illinois is participating in a
coalition to guarantee paid sick leave protections for all workers in the
state.  The goal is to fill the significant gaps left by recent federal
emergency sick leave legislation and establish a permanent floor for sick
leave across Illinois, promoting the health of all Illinoisans both now and
into the future.



To advance this work, the coalition is seeking signatures in support of
paid sick leave protections – with a deadline of *tomorrow, Wednesday,
April 22nd*.  If this is something you personally support, please fill out
