ACLU is of course one of many organizations aiming to assure that citizens
can vote safely and securely in this election.
One option likely to be heavily used in this election is vote by mail.  But
in any case you can register and apply for vote by mail and get more voting
information with this link to the Champaign County Clerk's Office
https://champaigncountyclerk.com/  and click on "Elections"

The expanded role for vote by mail also means an expanded role for election
judges in new capacities. This is part time work (13 dollars an hour with
sign-up for shift work) with specific training for each position
I assume everyone knows the role of election judge at the polling place,
but additionally the Clerk's office will also need part time election
officials
in two other capacities:
todrive the route to pick up ballots at the drop off places around town and
to process the mail-in ballots at the Clerk's office by feeding them into
the voting machines.
