Invitation to join Champaign County ACLU in Fourth of July Parade
The Parade lineup has us in the second tier, number 58.  What that means is that I will check in for the group by 10, and other marchers should be there by no later than 10:55 and preferably a bit earlier –parking lot just east of the State Farm Center. You do NOT need to check in except to ask where ACLU position is or where to park.    It will be hot but not rainy 86-88 degrees over the course of the march.  I will bring some water but your own supply a very good idea.

Parade starts at 11:05
We have a few ACLU Champaign County t shirts to give away, but check with me about sizes and for that matter other questions

Parade starts from that parking lot.  If you drive, you enter from Oak street and must vacate the parking area by 2PM.  I live near the end of the parade route and if useful, could drive a few people back to that lot but only when the parade is over (my path to the parking lot is unclear before that….)
Parade route here: walking the route takes about an hour on past experience.

Please come if you can and bring your own civil liberties signs (we will have some and a banner to carry).  ACLU Illinois in Chicago has given us some abortion is a right posters, and we also have the other bill of rights posters.  We will be handing out bill of rights bookmarks….
It would be good to see you standing up for civil rights and liberties in these troubled times
