Dear ACLU members and supporters,

We need your help. A bill has been proposed in the US House that would give
the Secretary of the Treasury the power to declare any non-profit a
terrorist organization. No justification or evidence required! These
organizations would be unable to raise funds or bank in the US. The ACLU,
along with many other civil society organizations, urged Congress to vote
against this dangerous extension of arbitrary power. HB 9495 was voted down
once but is being brought up again and will likely come up for a second
vote Wednesday or Thursday.

Representative Nikki Buzinski voted FOR the bill. If you live in her
district (that's most of us) we ask you to contact her and urge her, if HB
